Sir Goudie was a tad off, once in 20yrs, IB lit up at 12:15, beach balls pegged on the fences, no parking to boot, the festering masses still rule DC. Quaking Aspens sound sooo good in real wind, can barely hear the 19 wheelers backfiring inches from the IB parking lot.

Jim's Desert Pavilion was way better, the people there just stare into the sun, like the Village of the Dimmed, probably a shorter hike to the water than IB, and a commanding view of Timp from the Shriek Seats. The fetch was lit, Jim going full retro, 2002 Free Formula 138, the butter board, uber smooth matched to his 6.6 Ezzy. Too bad the whirlygigging boaters held us off as the wind picked up, wicked bucket chop only a dentist would love. Hot wind though, no clouds til 4pm and zero chance of rain.

For some of us, 10 miles as a session would be a summer, for Jim, "it was a short go out". For others that translates to "4 ibuprofens, two Pale Ales and back muscles on fire.
He made a charge for the Dam, its in his DNA, but was denied as the gusts did their usual antics. By 4pm Dave O showed to kill off the wind, but it was a keeper.
