Lake Creek Report

Postby AndyBlunt » Mon Nov 12, 2012 9:14 am

Pepe, Kevin and I made it about 2/3 the way up to lake creek when we came across a downed tree. There were about 3 feet of really light, fluffy snow even where we made it to. Kevin went up to the top with his sled and said there was plenty of snow up there. But before he got back down to us Tyler and Pete needed a hand digging out a bit further down the road from us. And by the time we got them out we'd all decided to try strawberry since the road was impassible.
As Leo said there were a couple of sections at Strawberry River with no sage brush that you could maybe have made some tracks on. But chicken creek and ladders looksed to only have a few inches. So none of us kited.

Had we not given up on Lake Creek and figures out how to get us all up there it would have been a nice session.

John gave it a shot at the Park City fields but I think he said coverage is no good there still. John what's the word there?

Except for lake creek I think we need another storm or two.

Anyone check out skyline?

Here are a couple of pics from the attempt at Lake Creek. The first is the road and the second Kevin took up top

Todd J. and I rode at Home Depot for about an hour. Coverage is slim and the ground is warm. I had a hard time sliding with the mud caked on the bottom of my board. I think we saw Ralph riding down in the valley.

John, stumper rode down in the valley, that is a better spot for wind when it is west, he rode 12 but said 15 would have been more fun.
