12/26 Kenny's Where to Ride

Summary - a slow moving storm will impact the region with heavy snow today and tomorrow. High pressure follows.

Today looks like a snow day at all of the higher elevations. There is a fair amount of wind associated with this storm, so lower elevations should be rideable if the coverage is there. Your best bets today are Park City, Rush, or SLC valley locations with coverage.

Thursday is looking good at Skyline IF the snow eases up a bit with wind in the upper-teens and plenty of fresh. PowMow looks like a snow day. Strawberry is the tricky one. As it depends on coverage. The forecast is for westerly wind which often means that it will blow only lightly or intermittently at Strawberry River. Chicken Creek usually is good on a westerly wind and hopefully with this storm and the past one, it will have enough coverage. Expect wind in the low-teens.

Friday the snow clears out and there should be light clearing winds, but with high pressure filling into the air, there is a good possibility of an afternoon fade. It is looking like if you want it, you will want to get it early.
