KSL at 6AM calling Thursday breezy. There sure weren’t any other weather groups backing that up. When Grants hit 16-19 at the 7:30 reading I decided to give it a chance. In my last post I called Grants a gem of a lake. It must have heard me as it was covered with whitecaps when I got there. Totally wound up on the 7.0 for 1.5 hours. When it started hitting the noon die-off I rigged my new 8.5 Cheetah and was ripping for another 45 minutes. Sweet sail. And sweet morning when I didn’t expect much. Three great sessions in 5 days, 4 so far in April; maybe we aren’t in a bummer Spring like last year. Campers already starting to fill the park for Easter weekend. NOAA is definitely struggling today. The site was non-functional early, the Mesonet maps were blank, half the pages were missing and you had to click on Midnight to get 12 noon readings. Now I see they just revised the afternoon forecast for 5mph south just as the airport hit 18mph.

Sailing both the Gorge and Utah on my 8'2" HiTech and my 3 Starboards; Sonic 85L, S-Type 115L, and Carve 135L. Small quiver is Northwave, larger sails are Ezzy and Sailworks. Often in my white Odyssey but also in my wife's motor home.
