Worthington Minnesota June 10th - 15th 2014

Attended the US Nationals Windsurf Championships in Worthington Minnesota.
Overall the experience was surprisingly great.
The Worthingtoners know how to put on a great festival.
The festival was combined with a music festival and each afternoon up 3 or 4 bands / artists would perform.

Getting to and from the event we (my family and I) spent time in the Black Hills, Mt Rushmore, Devils Tower, the Badlands, and even the famous Corn Palace. My wife almost packed a few pairie dogs into the van.

Eastern Wy and Western SD are beautiful this time of the year.

Oh yeah, windsurfing. We did that every day. All conditions and from every direction.
A few days on 11m Formula gear, a few on 7.5m slalom gear, some SUP, and some light wind fun.
The majority of the windsurfers on long boards, which they sail very fast - up and down wind.

The windsurf community in the Midwest is amazing. Bob LeGault is missed (expressed by a few individuals).

2 to 4 beginner instructors out daily to teach anyone that stopped by. Many locals took part.

Would I go again? yes but I would have to sail long boards to be competitive.
Whatever thou art, do well thy part.
