Strawberry/Ladders 6/16, large

Well I’m back in Virginy-i-a (metro DC). Had a last short fling on the 17m at Ladders on Monday for an hour around noon. (The new Griffin Argo depowers nice and rides sweet.) It was overcast, but a smooth SSW @ 14-16mph with little white caps. Blew nice all day until 7pm when it rained heavy for a bit. ...So I’ll be kiting my local east coast Chesapeake bay, Assateague, and OBX haunts, until late August when I get back to Strawberry. Let me know if you’re coming out east and want to kite. And try Ladders early in the heat of July if you’d like to beat the SLC melt-down, or a change of scenery (yes you may still want a wetsuit). And enjoy you’re kiting where ever you go…

Nice to know I have a connection for back east. I just got back from my daughter's place in Falls Church. While there, we hit OBX / Jockey's Ridge sound side for a little kite action on Memorial day. Hoped for an ocean side wind but never materialized while I was there. I will be heading back that way, probably in Oct.
