Went with the 7.0 and bigger board based on the SW wind at the start. Nice waves and wind until it went west. Then it got choppier and gustier, definitely 5.7 on the north half of the lake but weaker on the south. Stayed with the 7.0 but switched to the 86L race board. Had a great time for 2 hours. The Evanston wind readings looked a lot higher. After the bath-like water at Mead/Mojave this weekend the water felt pretty cold, at least for a summer suit. I can’t believe the island hasn’t appeared. Would have been nice to have some company but John is out of town and my 2 freestyle buddies don’t care much for Sulfur. Don’t know whether I am returning tomorrow or heading for the bathtub (Grants).

Sailing both the Gorge and Utah on my 8'2" HiTech and my 3 Starboards; Sonic 85L, S-Type 115L, and Carve 135L. Small quiver is Northwave, larger sails are Ezzy and Sailworks. Often in my white Odyssey but also in my wife's motor home.
