What a way to close out the season at Deer Creek! Wind came up around 1:30 and blew hard! Most people were in mid size kite except Todd. I wish I had pumped a 9 or 10 instead of the 12. The wind was a bit gusty. But not too bad by DC standard. It must have blew well into the evening as I saw ripples in the dam when I was leaving the canyon around 4:30. The water temp has gotten to a point where it is no longer fun to jump and missed landing. With night being so cold, I think I am done for the year. It has been a great season.

Close out the season?!! There'll be many more windy days before DC freezes over. You're correct that the wind blew well into the evening; it didn't lull out completely until 8PM and then started up again about an hour later (but EXTREMELY gusty).
