Got to the beach at about 2:30. Rigged a 7.0 because the gusts looked pretty good. After a couple tries, decided that I needed just a little more punch. Came in and rigged the 7.5 and headed out again. Great shore to shore rides and very steady wind (very surprising for DC). Sailed till 5:00 when the some big lulls stated coming through. Really good two hours of sailing.
What was it like before I got there Jim?

Similar, possibly a little steadier. Over all, excellent wind but somewhat nasty chop due to all the motorboats. Aren't they supposed to be mothballed after Labor Day?
