I was teased by the switch to the north and some possibly optimistic north winds. White caps were just present outside the north jetty. So I worked my way out to the mouth to find that it all just tapered back to sub-planing, sub-marginal and sub-par conditions. I didn't know exactly what Carl had warned me about til I got there. On a north, you keep working up to the narrow opening from the bay, but the reaches keep narrowing and it makes it a little interesting to get out with the fewest reaches. I did get to try the new clamp on my boom (the Streamline knock-off) and it worked fine... for schlogging. Rob[/i]
