arrived to mild wind but within 10 mins it had picked up to 20+ Decided to rig the 6.6 even though most were on a 6.0, by the time I hit the water it was blowing 40 in the gusts. I figured it might not last that long but it stayed strong the whole time I was on the water with few exceptions. could have been on a 5.5 or smaller but didn't take the time to rerig.

We took the shift over at around 5:30PM when George and Ken were leaving... Kevin S, Josh S, and I sailed until after the sun went down... It was one of those surreal lighting sessions... If you make through the psychological barrier of that sun getting close to the mountains you get to sail in some of the most amazing lighting conditions...

Every color of the palette and every texture of an artist's canvas filled the evening sky as we sailed 5.2 to 6.2, ~95L boards into the shadows... Hmm... Could I be more grandiloquent or lexiphanic here ;)... Maybe those words aren't right... Garishly I have waxed a little too poetic and nearly threw up in my own mouth! he he..

But seriously we did have a great session surprisingly after getting there so late... The wind stayed warm relatively till we left... It was a little holey in the beginning and I started to doubt but ended up being a very fun session. In fact, I'm feeling it a little today, so that's a good indicator. The wind was actually making it down to the water... I think you lose about 5 MPH in wind velocity IF it's S/SW/ and a few more when it's SE... But it's still fun...

Wish I'd have had time to be there earlier with Ken O. who apparently sailed all day!
