Drove out at around noon to no wind. Bad deal as I missed a day of work for a chance to kite after missing the last 2 days. I waited around for about 1/2 hour then it started to kick in. I guess I had got there just as it was switching from South to blowing from the North. I rode for about an hour in light wind. Then Sal showed up and the wind picked up pretty good. Rode for anonther hour. Kenny pulled in and put up his foil. The wind started getting gusty and light for me. Rode a bit more then only Kenny was able to keep upwind. When we left he was still out. I would have called to let people know it was blowin but my phone doesn't get service at the puddle. Great first time of the season on water. The 13m Instinct did the job, very fun kite! (Thanks Marty)

It was good to see Mark and Sal out on the water. The water was warm, so I wore a full length wetsuit. Sal was out in a shortie. After Mark and Sal left I cruised down to the south end of the lake and rode is some nice butter water. I rustled up a huge flock of birds and enjoyed the calm of the south end of the lake. I tacked back up and the wind backed off just as I was back to the launch spot around 6:45. The big foil served me well.
