Jason,

I was extremely excited until my brother put the blade of a filet knife a third of the way through my left index finger in Alaska...

Long story... 9 stitches later I was fishing the next morning... But had to wear a waterproof glove... Bummer! So, Gorge is out of the question for about 10 days... Doc said I'd rip the cut open if I sailed before 10 days!*@(&!@^ Luckily it didn't cut any crucial arteries or tendons... Just a nice sensory nerve! Numb on the top of my pointer finger.

Hoping to maybe catch the tail end of the trip...

Rick,

How about 8.4-8.12? Assuming your finger doesn't turn black and fall off. See you and anyone else up there that week.

Carl,

I'm holding back the tears! I'd love to, but I have to be here on the 7th... Then of course we have the Sulphur Creek Campout on the 11th...

You'd have been top 10 in the Blow Out Carl! ;)

Ha! Actually finger is a slice to the bone (actually a little into the bone) but it is healing up perfectly... Never red and only hit a sensory nerve... So finger's going to be just fine... Wait for the later August sesh...

Hey buddy,

Most of the tribe will be back up there the 1st week of September.
I know we'd all be bummed if you didn't make the video this year,
so come up then.

Glad to hear your going to keep the opposable finger, (guard your pun sensitive eyes), they come in handy.

Top 10 in the blowout? You are too kind. Did you get to see it? What were they riding?

I saw them and it wasn't pretty. It looked like the special olympics for windsurfing. I was kiting on a 7m ozone Instinct and they were on formula stuff. You get the picture. Carl would have kept his registration fee in his pocket with that kind of wind.
