Utah Lake tonight

Postby MikE mAy » Wed Sep 05, 2007 2:26 pm

so, i'm anxious obviously to kite. i know here in the valley we have had some damaging winds and heavy rain. however, everything looks to be cleared up and is just blowing from the north. any other advise from anyone as to kiteability? i looked on the radar, and it looks like it is clear, but the winds are still kind of wild. maybe something is blowing in later this afternoon... is anybody heading out or thinking of heading out? is it safe to go out if we see the winds steady out a bit?

i'm surprised that i haven't heard from anybody else....

what's everyone else's take on the weather?

good to know there are some other like minded individuals out there... (if not fools, we will see how the storms pan out). i'm heading to SSB about 4 if the wind steadies. seems to have less consequences if shit hits the fan (trees and shubery over rocks and power lines?)

just recieved intel that it is still a bit overcast in the south valley
but i think i can get out of the office around 4:30. ssb is the ticket i guess. i would rather have trees and bushes rather than powerlines.

Keep an eye out for lightening and clouds dropping out gust fronts.

Forecast is for severe and damaging winds, hail and snow at skyline even.

Go get some boys!
