9/6 Pineview low effect

Postby Marty Lowe » Thu Sep 06, 2007 10:45 am

If I had the day off,
I would go to Pineview today.
Unless the clouds start to build.

At 9:00 am it's already west.

I got two reports that wind was relatively steady averaging 15mph most of the afternoon. Not the typical PV stuff. Reports came from a rocky mountain lightwind cursing Hawaiiin and an un-named Powder Mountain Ski Patrolman who set up kite and lines but forgot his harness. Un-named, cant say who.

Skunked on Friday

I showed up at Pineview about 1:45pm to dead calm. I set up anyway and before I was done, the wind was up. I headed out toward Cemetary point at a good clip. On my way back, the wind slowed and I came crawling in. I went back out again and the wind pretty much died. It was up and down all afternoon, but mostly down. Just when I thought I could predict it! Oh well.
