Mike,

What I do on days like today is watch the observations until 11:30 or noon and if there is nothing local, I go to Skyline.

The forecast doesn't call for much wind, but the Venturi effect may be enough for Rush, especially if you have big gear. PC may be a possibility also. However, I would put my money on Skyline. The storm is supposed to clear by noon there and I would think that there would be some decent clearing wind. Brian & Heather should also have some big kites available to demo.

I keep an eye on the Winds Aloft to get a sense of what;s going down at Skyline.

That will give you the immediate conditions for the next 6 hours, and I gotta say, it doesn't look great. Look to the 9000ft conditions.

If ever the winds aloft are blowing over 20 from the north at 9000ft, it's a Strawbs kind of day. All other winds that don't suck are Skyline days.

I'm looking to get up to Skyline Wednesday if anyone is interested and if the wind comes out to play.

See ya.
