Brady, Borkey, whatever,
Looks like white out potential up high later on, I'm thinking Strawbs to day at the Marina, Whatdayouthink. Desparation flats is OK as a last resort. Maybe even Lama land (home Depot Field)

Northern kiting options.

South wind is the preferred direction for Pow Mow. However, for those of you who haven't tried Monte Cristo it looks windy enough to kite there for the next few days and the terrain is similar to Skyline. It is by far the largest area we kite in up north. I will probably be there Thursday. Just go up SR 39 to mile marker 36, park and kite all of the area to the north. It is wide open and we have only explored a small portion of it. Any wind direction works there but since it is a little lower (7590 ft) than most areas it doesn't always blow hard enough. The predicted wind speed looks good for Thursday (21-24 WSW)and although it may be on the light side tomorrow (7-16) it should increase to 16-23 tomorrow night so speeds will increase throughout the day. I will probably be there Friday also. If you haven't checked it out you before you will be surprised. Call me if you have questions-hm 475-7788 cell 201-8205.

Augie,
What's the snow coverage like? Is it kiteable now, or are you planning on the coming snow to make it good, better?
Thanks

Anyone looking to take down Monte on Thursday from the SLC area? I'm looking for a driving buddy ... my car's puffing white smoke from the radiator. (Yeah, that means that the driving buddy will be the one driving. )

Give a message here or call: 801 664 8424.

Maybe there is kiting in my forecast this week!

John, I was there last Friday and the snow coverage was marginal but still workable-there just wasn't any wind. Yes, I am counting on the new snow to make it better but it didn't need much to make it good.
