16 waroo, 16.5 wind wing

Postby bordy » Thu Feb 28, 2008 1:51 pm

I have a 06 16m waroo that I sort of got stuck with. I have flown it once since it came back from airtime with a leading edge repair. I have a 06 55cm Bar to go with it however the chicken loop has no bone, loop only. Ready to fly for only $450. Great kite with tons of life left in it. Please tell all your friends this kite just sits in the bag like it has since it was new.

I also have a 06 16.5 Wind wing rapture2 SLE kite for $300 OBO for kite only, the kite has a repair with tear aid that has been there since I bought the kite. I flew it several times and have had several offers from several people in the past but have always ended up "holding" the kite for some one but never hearing from them again. This Kite flys on any 4 line SLE bar.

This stuff is going on E-bay soon But I would love to sell it locally to some one who could use it!

Both these Kites are great on Snow and water!!!! Year round fun with only one kite!

Hey I am interested in the Waroo but I have a question for you. I am only 140lbs (like that other guy posting this week); would I need a kite this big even in the lighter winds or would it be fine as long as I knew when to pack it in and get out something smaller? Or is this just a completely relative question?

You really answered your own ?. The 16 can be alot of Kite at 140 when it picks up but the Waroo has so much Depower its crazy. One of the local guys Spencer is around your weight he holds his 16 down up to and over 25mph. I weigh in around 165 and choose to go to a smaller kite at around 20mph, but thats becuase I like the smaller kites for loop tricks and stuff. On snow you could be the first guy out. There are days you'll want the biggest kite possible (like on deep pow days or super light summer water sessions). This size is what I fly most in the summer around here, Its also light alot in the winter so Big kites are key if you want as many sessions as possible! I live in heber you are welcome to check out the kite when ever.
