Willard Bay?

Has anyone been by Willard lately? Forecast looks good there too. Would like to meet up with folks for a after work session. Are most people heading to Rush?

What time do you get off work?
Just want to make sure I'm there a few hours before you.
Ya know....You do have a history lately, of killing the wind.

Willard probably would be good, Rush will just be warmer. IMHO

i'm getting off work NOW marty! you'd better head out there now and get nice and tired in the light wind so its not so crowded when i get there. i'm gonna need the whole lake today...

looking at the forecast, i don't think even my skunky odor could quiet the winds...

now that i look at the forecast closer- would willard be a better bet? i know i'm 0 for 3 up there, but gusts as high as 55 in the forecast for rush look pretty gnarly. will it be that crazy in rush valley today? anybody thinking a gusty Lindon sesh is in order? I'd really appreciate some info as to where others are heading. i (obviously) don't want to get blown off the water.

Yeah, I was looking a Willard because of the gusts. My buddy here at work was telling about bad gusts (up to 70) in the spring in conditions like this. The water may be colder at Willard but it's supposed to be in the upper 70s for air temp, so I think the water temp wouldn't feel too bad with a 5/3 wet suit.
Get off work at 3:30, unless I decide to leave early.
Hope to see some peeps out somewhere.

I heard yesterday that Willard Bay is not going to be full this year also. They have to leave it about 15 feet from the top since they didn't fix the leak completely. That should leave a pretty good beach around the edge. It could be just a rumor though.

That rumor is true, as far as I know. They actually are having to leave the water level low this year and next summer too for the work on the leave. Another guy I work with has talked with the operators of the reservoir.

sounds good guys. i'll be on the text program this afternoon. please keep me posted. thinking about the drive up north and how much it sucks from down here at 3:30. may hit lindon, but willard will be better riding.... of course rush is and can be plush. we'll just have to see how it all pans out.

I am planning on going to Rush when the wind kicks up and leaving as soon as it gets nasty.

I have lucked out a couple times at Lindon, but it is really a crap shoot. It will often blow for a couple hours and then quit. Arpi and I had a session out there on a south last fall. I rode a 19M Peter Lynn for 20 minutes. Switched to a 7M for the next hour. Ryan shows up and the wind dies.

I would go for Willard over Lindon.
